The PeopleSoft System Application Administrator maintains the technical environment for the PeopleSoft Human Resources, Payroll, Financials, CRM and other applications and tools within the Strategy and Architecture Group. Candidates for this position are expected to understand end to end processes and how deploying an appropriate technological solution can be applied to achieve business objectives. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are as important as technical skills in this internal consulting role.


  • Develop procedures to improve the performance and stability of the PeopleSoft suite of applications, including database systems.
  • Participate in the design, selection, testing and implementation of solutions
  • Be responsible for activities related to the maintenance of the integrity and continuity of operation of the various PeopleSoft applications within the Strategy and Architecture Group.
  • Work with business and technical teams, evaluate and select technical solutions.
  • Participate in the development of implementation plans for new applications
  • Participate in the development and review of technical documentation.
  • Seek to improve user satisfaction with IT solutions and services.
  • PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 or higher.
  • PeopleSoft HCM 8.9 or higher including Payroll.
  • PeopleTools 8.52 or higher.
  • Process Scheduler (UNIX and WINDOWS) environment
  • Application Server (Tuxedo)
  • Web Server (Weblogic)
  • Application Designer, Data Mover, Integration Broker, Run Control, RenServer, Application Engine, SQR, Crystal Report, Change Assistant, Phire Change management tool.
  • UNIX (5.X), Linux shell scripting
  • Configuring an environment post refresh from production
  • OEM for PeopleTools 8.52 or higher.
  • Oracle SQL (10G/11G) and SQL tuning.
  • Several years of experience with Oracle database and tools such as OEM monitoring tools
  • Superior spoken and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated PeopleSoft Administration experience including installation, support, troubleshooting, monitoring, optimization, application of bundles, 2 –tier connection, service packs and patches and application of PeopleSoft Tools upgrades.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting systems in a 24 x 7 operational environment in a high –pressure environment whilst still dedicated to high-quality results.
  • Demonstrated experience with the development of complex Human Capital Management systems –experience with PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM including North American Payroll and People Tools , Oracle, integration with Microsoft technologies such as .NET, XML, SharePoint, MS Office, reporting (Crystal Report, SQR) and COTS packages is required. 
  • Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft PIA – Tuxedo and Weblogic
  • Demonstrated experience in an Oracle environment either as a Database Administrator, developer or integrator.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex database management tasks.
  • Experience with security, high-availability concept and technologies, SAN technology, UNIX shell scripting, Windows OS, backup tools and monitoring tools.
